Grand Full Moon in Cancer &

We have a Grand Full Moon in Cancer on January 3rd, at 5:01 a.m. eastern time. This moon is making a lovely aspect to the North Node in Pisces! With all the previous frenetic activity and challenges (albeit some good ones), the North Node and the Moon in Cancer help us with divine intervention. It offers a respite from life's tensions, challenges, a welcome dreamy escape room (thank you, Pisces!) A grand trine stands sentinel with a kite formation to help one and all at the beginning of Earth's new calendar year. The Moon is in Cancer, its home place of comfort, spirituality, security, and magic. The Sun is in Capricorn, a sign of ambition, fortitude, pragmatism. Let us balance and blend all these aspects to use this energy to the fullest.

Of course with any full moon there will be challenges. This placement challenges us to balance our personal lives with work, career, and the call of our destiny. With Jupiter (our lucky and blessed planet) and Cancer (protector, comforter, divine helper), there is a lovely and magical aspect. We humans can be blessed with calm euphoria when we need it most. You have to reach for it when emotions get heightened or troubled.

I encourage you to be outside with this moon at night time and feel the energetic pull, its majesty and protection. This moon calls for creative and spiritual growth along with steady perseverance toward our desired destiny. The need for personal and earthly security that comes with an intense Cancer moon placement can be manifested with Capricornian energy.

On January 18th we have an Exciting New Moon in Capricorn at 2:51 p.m., eastern time. The Sun and Moon are both in Capricorn. Uranus, the planet of surprises, electricity, excitement is making spectacular aspects to six planets. Shazam! Wowie! This is a new moon of exhilarating and invigorating change especially with Uranus entering the sign of Gemini after a long sojourn in Taurus. Uranus is definitely the supporting star in this display of planetary beauty. Good stuff can happen in the area of finances and potential financial assistance.

With Uranus stationed in the 8th house on the astrological wheel, we are propelled to re-birth our spirits, minds, souls. You get the picture ! We can experience an enlightening in these areas. Neptune (creativity, spirituality, fantasy) stands tall and majestic at the top of the cosmic wheel with Saturn close by . This time, Neptune stands out in the midst of Saturnian discipline. That's a good thing. Let those dreams, fantasies, creative endeavors, be grounded with Saturnian stability.

With Neptune leaving Pisces and entering 0° of Aries on January 26, this signifies an end of an era. Beautiful Pisces stands majestically in her final days and her home planet of Neptune. Neptune has been in Pisces since the fall of 2012. That was a very long time ago. Let us all reflect on our lives since then. Here is our last chance to water the Capricorn soil of those Neptune dreams, hopes, wishes, aspirations. This is what this new moon is for! Whew, that is much to contemplate, but worth it.
